I try to keep my fridge pretty clean. At least in the sense that I try to eliminate "fuzzy" (i.e. moldy) leftovers before they reach any form of sentience. So, you can imagine my surprise/disgust/fascination when I found this lovely specimen in my vegetable drawer...

That was, at one point, lettuce. Now it's more like lettuce soup. Totally disgusting, but oddly intriguing, no? Makes you want to clean out your fridge, and perhaps your eye sockets, doesn't it?

P.S. Note to self: 'Liquid Lettuce' as the next big condiment is not a million dollar idea...
